Generative AI Policy

Policy on the Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies
Policy on the Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted
TechnologiesThe International Interdisciplinary Scientific Journal “Expert” recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and AI-assisted technologies are increasingly used in research and academic writing.
The journal supports the responsible and transparent use of such technologies while maintaining the integrity, originality, and accountability of scholarly work. This policy aims to ensure transparency in the use of generative AI within the processes of manuscript preparation, peer review, and scholarly publishing.
Use of Generative AI by Authors
Authors may use generative AI tools to assist with language editing, grammar correction, or improving readability of the manuscript. However, authors remain fully responsible for the content of their work. The use of AI must not compromise the originality, accuracy, or integrity of the research. Generative AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, generate scientific results, or produce misleading interpretations.
Disclosure of AI Use
If generative AI or AI-assisted technologies are used during manuscript preparation, authors must disclose this use in the manuscript. Disclosure should include:
  • the name of the AI tool used
  • the purpose of its use (e.g., language editing, text improvement).
This disclosure may be included in the Acknowledgments section or in a separate statement within the manuscript.
AI and Authorship
Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Authorship implies accountability and responsibility for the work, which cannot be assumed by artificial intelligence systems. Only human contributors who meet the authorship criteria may be listed as authors.
Use of AI in Peer Review
Reviewers must not upload or share manuscripts under review with generative AI tools or external AI services. Manuscripts under peer review are confidential documents, and their content must not be processed by third-party systems that may store or reuse the information.
Editorial Use of AI
Editors may use AI tools for limited technical purposes such as plagiarism detection, language screening, or identifying potential ethical concerns. Editorial decisions are always made by human editors and are not delegated to artificial intelligence systems.
Transparency and Responsibility
The journal encourages responsible and transparent use of AI technologies in scholarly communication. All participants in the publication process are expected to ensure that AI-assisted technologies are used ethically and in accordance with established principles of academic integrity.
This policy applies to authors, reviewers, editors, and all participants involved in the journal’s publication process.
